Hi, I'm Ally.
I'm a professional musician, composer, producer and music educator with a degree in Modern Music from BIMM Dublin, specialising in music pedagogy — the art and science of teaching music.
With over 23 years of playing experience and 12 years of teaching, I've had the pleasure of guiding more than 500 students, from complete beginners to advanced musicians.
My career has taken me from live performance and recording studios to music production and composing for film. These experiences shape how I teach, connecting musical education with the practical skills of creating, performing and understanding music.
Whether you want to play your favourite songs, prepare for graded examinations or write your own music, lessons are tailored to your interests, abilities and ambitions.
My goal isn't simply to teach you how to play an instrument. It's to help you become a confident, creative and independent musician.

Learning an instrument is about building confidence, coordination and good musical habits. Two shorter lessons each week create more opportunities for guidance, feedback and progress.

Is once a week still enough?
Absolutely. Weekly lessons are a great option for students who enjoy learning at their own pace and developing their skills independently. However, for those who want to take their playing a little more seriously, twice-weekly lessons provide greater consistency, more regular feedback and often much more noticeable progress.
